Jesus spoke this about love, "Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13) Love is the most powerful word in our world today. Love makes you remember that the first expression of love was from God Himself. The Bible declares that God made man in His image and in His likeness.
If God created us after Himself then that is a great expression of Love. God created us to be like Him, so that means we look like Him, we have His attributes and we have the same essences that He has. We were told to be fruitful and multiply. That multiplication is expressing love with one another. God gave us dominion over the whole earth. Even when man fell into sin in the Garden of Eden because of disobedience, God did not leave us uncovered, "Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them." (Genesis 3:21)
Love is the most powerful word in our world today.
This love is being expressed in the type and shadow of Jesus Christ coming to save His people from sin once and for all. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:16-17) This is how a loving God covered His people's sin past, present, and future once and for all.
God created us to be like Him, so that means we look like Him, we have His attributes and we have the same essences that He has.
Now if God has loved us with such a great love then we need to be like Him and His Son. So as I stated earlier, I said that No greater love than this, we should care for our families, loved ones, and friends and even have compassion on our enemies. Jesus said when you have done this to the least of these you have also done it to me. We might not always agree with one another, but we should be able to come to one another in love to settle whatever disagreements we might have. It has been said many times that God knows our heart, Yes He does, and remember in our heart He has given us compassion for our fellow man.
In closing loves covers all, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:8) So love triumph over all it covers everything just like God intended, so just don't talk about it but be about it. So love with all your heart, mind, and soul and others will see the face of God in you.
